Three Rivers Glass

A working museum of the Three Rivers Glass Company, Texas.

The Three Rivers Glass Company made bottles, jars, and tableware from local sand and natural gas in the South Texas town Charles R. Tips founded on the Frio River. From 1922 to 1937 it grew from a hand-blown shop into a mechanized plant shipping millions of containers a year, until the Depression and a glass-trust foreclosure brought it down. This site is a working museum of the factory — its history, its people, and the diamond-marked glass collectors still prize today.
