Harry J. Schulz

The attorney-owner whose correspondence trail documents the physical plant’s final disposition, two decades after closure. Co-purchased the former factory property from Ball Glass Corporation in 1954 alongside Bryan Boyd, and personally corresponded, as “Attorney At Law,” with Mexican glass manufacturers in 1958–1960 to sell the dismantled furnace’s refractory materials.

Co-purchased the property with Bryan Boyd, recorded September 21, 1954 (Volume 164, page 285, County Clerk’s Office, George West). [ev-0041] His name appears as both “Schulz” (county deed) and “Schultz” (correspondence letterhead) across sources — likely the same person, spelling not fully reconciled. Corresponded directly, in Spanish-language exchanges, with Vidriera “Nuevo León” S.A. of Monterrey (letters dated June 11, 1958 through November 1959) and Representaciones Técnicas S.A. of Mexico City (March 22, 1960) regarding the sale of refractory brick.
